Summery spa concerts with swing, jazz, and big band sound in the Bad Ems Kurpark music pavilion
The spa concerts in the Bad Ems Kurpark have a long tradition. As early as the 19th century, spa orchestras played for the guests of the "Summer Residence of Europe" – today this tradition lives on under the title "Swing & More – Jazz Kur Concerts", with a contemporary musical flavour.
The venue is the music pavilion in the Kurpark: a pretty little pavilion that offers the audience on the lawns and benches a clear view of the stage. Against the backdrop of the historic spa facilities and the wooded slopes of the Lahn Valley, a very special atmosphere is created.
The 2026 season opens on May 5th with the jazz band The Loft Connection featuring guest singer Aniko Kanthak. Three weeks later, on May 26, 2026, a classic Swing & More concert follows, living up to the series' name.
Throughout the summer, further concerts will complement the programme – with changing ensembles from the spectrum of jazz, swing, small big band, and occasionally Latin and Bossa accents. The common element: light, summery music that suits the open-air atmosphere.
The Jazz Kur Concerts are an important element of the summer cultural offerings in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bad Ems and are organised by the Staatsbad.
The 2026 season builds on the established tradition of spa concerts. The concept of open-air concerts in the Kurpark combines relaxation, cultural experience, and the special flair of the World Heritage valley.
