Weekend dedicated to wool, knitting, and textile crafts at Café am Stadtsee in Sulingen
The Sulinger Wollefest offers a carefully curated selection of wools and yarns, from classic virgin wool and Merino to specialty yarns like alpaca, mohair, silk, or plant-dyed yarns. Around 36 exhibitors present their range and offer advice on materials, knitting, and crochet techniques. This makes the festival both a shopping event and a source of inspiration.
The Café am Stadtsee at Kurze Heide 19 provides an idyllic setting for the Wollefest. Its location directly on the lake and the café's ambiance make the festival a relaxing weekend getaway. Visitors can pause by the water between market strolls and refresh themselves at the café.
In addition to sales at the stands, workshops and demonstrations take place. Interested parties can learn new techniques, touch yarns, create knitting samples, and chat with like-minded people. The atmosphere is personal and inviting, distinguishing the Wollefest from anonymous large trade fairs.
Saturday, August 1st from 11 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, August 2nd from 11 AM to 4 PM. Current information, exhibitor list, and workshop program can be found at sulinger-wollefest.de.
The Wollefest is a meeting place for a community that has formed around knitting and crochet. Those who come here rarely leave without new yarns, new ideas, and new contacts.
The exact 2026 workshop program will be published by the organizer in the spring.
