The Strohhutfest Afterparties at GLEIS4 are an established additional format that organizes the transition from the family-friendly open-air street festival into the night. The Strohhutfest itself is Frankenthal's largest city center festival, filling several squares and streets with stages, food stalls, and program offerings for all ages every June. When the stages close late in the evening, many guests look for a continuation – and GLEIS4 offers exactly that.

Kulturzentrum GLEIS4

GLEIS4 is one of the most important alternative cultural centers in the Vorderpfalz region. Located at Eisenbahnstraße 82, in a former industrial hall near the train station, it houses a concert hall with a large dance floor, a bar, and an outdoor area. The program includes concerts, DJ nights, readings, and theater evenings.

The Afterparties

During the Strohhutfest, GLEIS4 typically hosts two consecutive DJ nights on Friday and Saturday evenings with different styles. Resident DJs of the venue and selected guests from the regional scene perform. Musically, House, Techno, Disco Edits, and Charts dominate, with varying emphasis depending on the evening.

Access and Atmosphere

Access is often at reduced rates for holders of the Strohhutfest wristband during the Strohhutfest. Doors usually open around 10:00 PM, and the sets run until the early morning hours. The atmosphere is more intimate compared to the outdoor festival, with a focus on the dance floor and electronic sets.
