Food Truck Variety at the Betzenberg

Since its launch in 2018, the Original Street Food Festival has become a fixture in Kaiserslautern's spring calendar for the Westpfalz region. For three days, the outdoor area of the legendary Fritz-Walter-Stadion is transformed into an international food truck mile, where around thirty vendors from all over Germany serve specialties rarely found in the region's classic snack and restaurant offerings.

International Cuisine to Taste

The culinary spectrum ranges from Korean BBQ, Mexican tacos and quesadillas, Caribbean jerk chicken specialties, Indian curries, Turkish street food, and Italian wood-fired pizza to classic American burger culture and vegan alternatives. The concept of deliberately small portions encourages visitors to try multiple stands – the festival is also a culinary journey around the world.

New Tapas Promotion 2026

The 2026 edition introduces a special tapas promotion. Several stands will offer tapas portions at uniform prices – ideal for sharing in groups and for a particularly diverse tasting experience. This promotion is a response to the audience's desire to experience as many flavors as possible without having to commit to a large main meal.

Setting and Atmosphere

In addition to the food trucks, bars offering cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks provide refreshments. Seating, a DJ booth, and live music create a festival atmosphere. The stadium location offers ample parking and easy access. The organizer is Street Food Festival GmbH, which hosts a nationwide format of food truck events.
