Within just a few years, the Street Food Festival Greetsiel has become a firm fixture in the Krummhörn's late summer calendar. The event combines the growing popularity of the international street food scene with the unique atmosphere of the Greetsiel harbour. Instead of sterile festival grounds in car parks or exhibition centres, the festival takes place here amidst a vibrant, historic fishing village, lending it a charm that comparable events in cities cannot achieve.
A culinary world tour in a small space
The focus of the festival is on culinary diversity. The organisers specifically invite vendors who practice their craft at a high level while also bringing originality. Typically represented are:
- Burger specialists – from classic beef burgers to pulled pork and vegetarian options
- Asian cuisine – bao buns, Banh Mi, Pad Thai, sushi rolls

- From 4 PM: Opening of the stands, first food trucks open

- From 2 PM: Family afternoon with children's activities (face painting, balloon modelling)
- From 6 PM: Main concert with singer-songwriter or acoustic band

Location

Opening Hours
Friday to Sunday, from midday until evening each day. Exact times will be published on the website of the Tourismus GmbH shortly before the festival.
Admission
Free entry to the festival grounds. Food and drinks are paid for directly at the food trucks and stands – most vendors also accept card payments.
Getting there
By car via L2/L3 from Emden (13 km). Paid parking at the designated Greetsiel car parks on the outskirts of town. Bus connection line 411 from Emden station.
Families and Accessibility
The festival grounds are flat and pushchair-friendly. Several high chairs are available at the seating areas. Accessible toilets at the harbour.
