Street Food at the Theaterplatz — A Culinary World Tour
For three days, the central Theaterplatz in the Bonn district of Bad Godesberg will be transformed into an international street food mile. From August 28 to 30, 2026, over 20 food trucks and stalls will open on the square, located between the theater building, the city library, and Godesberg Castle. The festival positions itself as a "culinary world tour" — and with an astonishing breadth.
Over 20 International Stalls
The offerings include at least 20 different food concepts from around the world:
- Asia — Korean fried chicken, Japanese gyoza, Vietnamese banh mi, Indian vegetarian curries
- Latin America — Peruvian ceviche, Brazilian açaí bowls, Mexican tacos
- Europe — Italian pasta, Greek souvlaki skewers, German organic burgers
- USA & BBQ — Texas BBQ, smashed burgers, pulled pork
- Sweets — Churros, chimney cakes, Belgian waffles, homemade ice cream
Vegetarian and vegan options are available at several stalls.

- Friday, August 28 — 3:00 PM–10:00 PM

Bad Godesberg — Bonn's Southern District
Bad Godesberg, with just under 76,000 inhabitants, is one of Bonn's four city districts. Until 1969, it was an independent district town in the former Bonn district. Today, Godesberg Castle, the Theater am Theaterplatz, the Godesberger Allee, and the diplomatic memories of the Bonn Republic characterize the district. Street food festivals have had a firm place in the summer calendar here for several years.
WEvent + Bad Godesberg Stadtmarketing
The organizer is WEvent UG, a professional event organizer based in NRW, curating several street food festivals in the Rhineland. The local cooperation partner is Bad Godesberg Stadtmarketing e.V. (Konrad Pyc, [email protected], Tel. 0228/1842690). Exhibitors can apply via the online form.
Tips for Your Visit
Come hungry — the portions are typically compact for street food, so you can try several stalls. Plan for €25–€40 per person for a real culinary journey (3–4 stalls). Those looking for tables should come early — seating is limited, and many visitors eat standing up or on the theater steps.
