The GoVinum is Bad Godesberg's own wine festival – a format from the city marketing that deliberately sets itself apart from the large Rhenish wine fairs. Instead of a hall and main stage, there is an open city square, benches under the trees, and a selection of regional and supra-regional vintners. GoVinum traditionally takes place twice a year: mid-May as the spring edition and mid-October as the autumn edition. The autumn edition bears the motto "Golden Autumn meets Golden Wine" – with pumpkins, hay bales, and autumn decorations.

When and Where is the Autumn Edition?

The autumn edition of GoVinum 2026 runs from Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th, 2026, on the Theaterplatz in Bad Godesberg. The Theaterplatz is located in the city center of Bad Godesberg between the historic Godesburg castle ruins and the Redoute, which was formerly a concert hall and is now an event venue.

The organizer is Bad Godesberg Stadtmarketing e.V., based at Ria-Maternus-Platz. The city marketing team organizes the two annual wine festivals as well as other district formats. Applications for stand participation come from all over Germany – GoVinum has established itself as a format that is attractive to reputable wineries.

Theaterplatz – Bad Godesberg's Living Room

The Theaterplatz is the central square of Bad Godesberg, with a view of the Godesburg, surrounded by cafés and the Redoute. In summer it's a concert venue, in autumn a wine festival stage – an urban square that becomes a festival site with little effort. Anyone who wants to get to know Bonn-Bad Godesberg will find the geographical and social center of the district here.

Bad Godesberg – Bonn's South

Since 1969, Bad Godesberg has been a district of Bonn (previously an independent city) and is located in the south of the federal capital. Known for the villa districts from the former federal era, the Petersberg Rhine arm, and its diplomatic past as the location of many embassies. GoVinum has been one of the regular district festivals for years and is popular with both Bad Godesberg residents and day-trippers from Bonn.
