MTV Soltau and Stadtwerke as Organizers

MTV Soltau is the local sports club and brings its sporting and organizational expertise to the run. Stadtwerke Soltau is the title sponsor, providing naming rights and financing the running concept. This organizational structure — a volunteer sports club and a municipal company — is typical for modern Volkslauf formats and ensures both sporting quality and financial stability.

Böhmewald-Stadion as Start and Finish

The Böhmewald-Stadion is Soltau's central sports stadium and hosts numerous sporting events for MTV Soltau. For the run, the stadium serves as the start and finish, simplifying logistics and providing a clear focal point for runners, companions, and spectators.

Three Adult Distances

With distances of 5 km, 10 km, and 20 km, the run covers the entire spectrum of classic Volkslauf distances. The 5 km is aimed at beginners and hobby runners, the 10 km at ambitious recreational runners, and the 20 km at experienced distance runners. This selection allows every participant to choose a distance appropriate to their fitness level.

Inclusive Children's Runs

A particular strength of the run is its children's races. The 400m run is offered in two variations: with and without accompaniment. This allows very young children to participate with parents, while older children can run independently. The 1000m run is for schoolchildren. This inclusive approach makes the run a family event.

Route through Soltau's Surroundings

The route leads from the Böhmewald-Stadion through the scenic surroundings of Soltau, featuring meadows, forests, and heathland. The exact route will be communicated by the organizers on their website.

Position in the Running Calendar

With its second edition, the run is expanding its position in the regional running calendar. After a successful debut in 2025, the run aims to establish itself as an annual event. Soltau thus joins the ranks of North German cities that enrich the sporting and social calendar with Volksläufe.
