Tips
Those who like oldtimers should come to Stiftsplatz at 2:30 PM on Sunday – the Spring Tour is the most spectacular program highlight. Those who enjoy culinary experiences should seek out the Turkish cultural festival "Friedlich Miteinander" on Ruhrstraße. If the weather is good, you can combine the Stadtfest with a subsequent walk along the Hennesee – about 10 minutes away.
Stadtfest with Multiple Axes
The Meschede Stadtfest is not a classic, single-track city festival, but a cluster of events taking place concurrently over a weekend in the city center. This is its appeal: those who like cars and oldtimers have their focus; those interested in intercultural culinary experiences will find the Turkish cultural festival; families with children will enjoy the soapbox derby; shopping fans take advantage of the Sunday with open shops.

The landmark is the Königsmünster Abbey, which as a Benedictine monastery with a youth hostel and grammar school is an important site in the Sauerland.
