Town Festival at Gehrdener Berg
Gehrden, with around 15,000 inhabitants, is one of the smaller towns in the Hannover region, picturesquely located at the foot of the Gehrdener Berg. Its city centre with the market square and town hall offers a compact, likeable festival backdrop that the association Gehrden feiert Feste e.V. has been successfully utilising for years.
Two Days, Two Stages
The festival spans two full days:
- Saturday, September 5th, 2026, 12 PM–12 AM
- Sunday, September 6th, 2026, 12 PM–8 PM
Live bands, discos, and DJ sets alternate on two stages. The musical spectrum ranges from rock and pop to Schlager and cover bands, as well as dance and disco sounds. The complete programme is published by the organiser on gehrden-feiert-feste.de.
Family Activities
During the day, especially on Sunday, the family programme takes centre stage: children's area, bouncy castles, face painting, small competitions. The festival is intended as an intergenerational event.
Gastronomic Diversity
Stalls from Gehrden and the region offer a wide spectrum: regional specialities, international cuisine, beer, cocktails, ice cream, sweets. The short festival mile invites you to stroll, sample, and linger.
Gehrden feiert Feste e.V.
The association Gehrden feiert Feste e.V. was founded in 2009 and organises the town festival and other events in Gehrden on a voluntary basis. It is an example of active civic engagement that supports the richness of town festivals in the Hannover region.
