Club Festival in the Middle of Town

The Stadtfest of 1. FC Schönwald is one of the central summer events in the Upper Franconian town of Schönwald (approx. 2,500 inhabitants, Wunsiedel district, Bavaria). The football club moves its club festival from the club grounds to Rathausplatz in the middle of the town — a tradition that makes the festival a real community gathering. The 16th edition is scheduled for 2026.

Schönwald and the Fichtelgebirge

Schönwald is located in the extreme northeast of Bavaria, on the border with the Czech Republic and Saxony. The town was once one of the centers of the Upper Franconian porcelain industry (Schönwald Porcelain). Rathausplatz with its fountain and linden tree is the social heart of the town and forms the ideal backdrop for the town festival.

Organizers

1. FC Schönwald e.V. is the largest sports club in the town, with football, tennis, and ski departments. The proceeds from the town festival flow directly into club and youth work.
