Four Stages in the Old Town

The Stade Old Town Festival features four stages in the historic city centre. Each stage has its own musical profile: Classic rock and pop on the main stage, regional artists and ballads on the smaller stages, dance performances and acoustic sets in the courtyards and alleys. The distribution throughout the city centre ensures that the atmosphere flows evenly through the old town.

Diverse Programme

The musical offerings range from rock cover bands to regional songwriters, ballads, and acoustic sets to DJ sets late in the evening. Theatre performances by small troupes, dance performances, and walk-acts complement the stage programme, creating a diverse experience for different tastes.

Stalls in the City Centre

Snack, drink, and association stalls are spread throughout the city centre. The restaurateurs of the old town extend their outdoor seating into the alleys. Culinary offerings range from bratwurst and street food to regional specialities and international cuisine.

Three Days in the Hanseatic City

The Old Town Festival runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, offering a full weekend of programming. Families visit the festival during the day, and in the evening, the audience wanders between the stages. The historic backdrop of brick Gothic architecture, half-timbered houses, the market square, and the Hanseatic harbour lend the festival its unmistakable character.
