Traditional wine festival in the historic Weinbrunnenhalle „Kröver Nacktarsch“ on the Moselle riverbank, since 1962
The St.-Remigius-Weinkirmes was established in 1962 and has been an integral part of the Kröv festival calendar ever since. It honors Saint Remigius (feast day October 1st), the patron saint of the Kröv parish church, and simultaneously celebrates the end of the summer festival season on the Moselle. For over six decades, the festival has preserved its original, village-warm atmosphere.
The venue is the Weinbrunnenhalle „Kröver Nacktarsch“ on the Moselle riverbank. The unusual name originates from a local legend and is now one of Germany's best-known vineyard designations: The „Kröver Nacktarsch“ vineyard is among the traditional vineyards of the Middle Moselle and is cultivated by various family wineries in the region. The wine hall named after it is a historic building, whose interior transforms into a lively festival hall during the Kirmes.
The St.-Remigius-Weinkirmes is primarily a festival for local vintners. The Kröv wineries present their Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder, and Spätburgunder wines by the glass, along with sparkling wines, Federweißer (depending on the season), and specialties. Those who want to try the „Kröver Nacktarsch“ – a typically fruity, elegant Riesling – will find an ideal opportunity here to get to know several vintners in comparison.
The Kröv Music Association organizes the festival and shapes the musical program. Over the three days, music bands, cover bands, and dance groups alternate. Regional dishes – Bratwurst, Schiefertaler ham, Flammkuchen, Winzervesper, cheese platters – complement the wine offerings.
The 2026 edition once again honors Saint Remigius around his feast day on October 1st. The festival begins on Friday evening with the tapping of the first keg, continues on Saturday in full festive spirit, and concludes on Sunday in a relaxed atmosphere.
The focus is on the vintners from Kröv and their wines from the „Kröver Nacktarsch“ vineyard and neighboring steep slopes. The Kröv Music Association organizes the musical program.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the Kröv Music Association in late summer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
The Weinbrunnenhalle „Kröver Nacktarsch“ is located directly on the Moselle riverbank in the center of Kröv.
Kröv is accessible by car via the B 53. The nearest train station is Wittlich or Bullay, from where Moselle buses run to Kröv. Additional bus connections will be set up during the Kirmes.
Free admission to the festival grounds. Wine, food, and drinks are paid for on site.
