One of the four seasonal markets of Markt Markt Schwaben with a market street and stage program
Markt Markt Schwaben (Ebersberg district, Upper Bavaria) has made its market rights into an event logic: four seasonal markets take place in the town center per year – a Winter Market in February, the Spring Market in May, a Summer Market in July, and the Autumn Market in October. Each of these markets lasts one day (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and features the market street and market square with stalls from local and supra-regional vendors.
The market offers a wide range: arts and crafts, jewelry, fashion, household and everyday goods, gift ideas, as well as a diverse range of food and drinks including bratwurst, crêpes, international cuisine, and vegan options. In addition, there are stalls from regional producers offering their specialties from the Munich area.
On the 2026 Spring Market, special program points will complement the classic market activities: a book flea market organized by the local library (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), an upcycling workshop for old books (2 p.m. to 4 p.m., for crafters aged 8 to 99), and from 3 p.m. onwards, live music by the band 'Devil's Brew' on the market square.
The operational organizer is P.K.S. Messevertrieb by Peter Kajetan Schmid, which organizes the four seasonal markets on behalf of the Markt Markt Schwaben. Registration as an exhibitor or stallholder is via mobile 0163 / 927 59 39 or by email pk.schmid(at)t-online.de.
Markt Schwaben is a market town with around 14,000 inhabitants, about 25 km east of Munich in the administrative district of Ebersberg. Thanks to the S-Bahn connection (S2 to Munich), the town is easily accessible for visitors from the eastern part of Munich. In addition to the four seasonal markets, there is a weekly Green Market every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. year-round.
The 2026 Spring Market falls on Sunday, May 10 – Mother's Day in Germany. Organizer P.K.S. Messevertrieb will host a diverse market street in the Markt Schwaben town center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, fashion, everyday goods, and a wide range of culinary offerings.
Two cultural highlights round off the market: the local library is organizing a book flea market and an upcycling workshop for old books, and in the afternoon, the band 'Devil's Brew' will play live music on the market square. Thus, the Spring Market combines classic merchandise, cultural hands-on activities, and a musical festive atmosphere.
Since May 10, 2026, is Mother's Day, many stalls are specifically designed for last-minute Mother's Day gifts. Handmade gifts can be created at the upcycling workshop.
Free admission. Market goods, food, and drinks are paid for at the respective stallholders; material costs for the upcycling workshop may apply on-site.
Take the S-Bahn S2 (Munich–Erding/Mühldorf line) to Markt Schwaben station, then walk about 5 minutes to the town center. By car via the A94 or via Erding. Parking is available in the town center.
