From May 14th to 17th, 2026, the Aplerbecker Marktplatz in the southeast of Dortmund will be transformed into a classic fairground. The Spring Fair Dortmund-Aplerbeck is the annual spring fair of the Aplerbeck district — not a major event like the Cranger Kirmes, but rather cozy, family-friendly, and with classic fairground charm. Open from Thursday to Sunday, daily from 2 PM to 9 PM. On the program: children's carousels, dodgems, game stalls, food stands with classic fair food (crêpes, almonds, sausages, potato pancakes), prize stalls, and candy stalls. Free admission.
