About Schützenfest Bergedorf

The Schützenfest of SV Bergedorf marks the 2026 season finale of the Ganderkesee Rifle Association. On August 29 and 30, the club in the Bergedorf district (municipality of Ganderkesee) celebrates the last of the twelve club rifle festivals of the season. Season Finale in Bergedorf

The Schützenfest of SV Bergedorf concludes the season of club rifle festivals, which began in May with the Federal Rifle Festival at the Adelheide grounds. For over four months, the twelve member clubs of the Ganderkesee Rifle Association have alternated with their festivals — Bergedorf marks the traditional conclusion.

SV Bergedorf is rooted in the Bergedorf district of the municipality of Ganderkesee. The club maintains a rifle clubhouse, shooting ranges, and a festival grounds, and hosts its Schützenfest annually at the end of August.

Classic Program

Bird shooting and king's shooting on Saturday, festive procession, family day, and proclamation of the king on Sunday. Brass bands and festival orchestras accompany the festive procession, and the festival tent offers space for dancing and social events.

Proclamation of the King Sunday 7 p.m.

The ceremonial proclamation of the new rifle majesties on Sunday at 7 p.m. is the emotional highlight of the weekend — and at the same time the last moment of kingship in the Schützenfest season of the Ganderkesee Rifle Association.
