Sportwoche FC Bavaria Wörth

The Sportwoche FC Bavaria Wörth is a typical example of the southern Palatinate club festival culture. FC Bavaria Wörth 1913 is one of the oldest football clubs in the Wörth administrative district and looks back on over a hundred years of club history. The annual Sportwoche is the most important date in the club calendar and finances a large part of the club's expenses through catering.

Concept

The Sportwoche combines sporting competitions with a marquee operation. On the sports field, games of the youth and senior teams take place – both as a club tournament with invited teams and as matches between the club's own teams in different age groups.

Marquee

Parallel to the games, a continuous catering service operates in the marquee with bratwurst, steak, fries, Saumagen (a regional specialty), salads, as well as plenty of beer and Palatinate wine. In the evenings, there is live music or DJ sets, and one evening usually features a larger dance night.

Family and Club Character

The Sportwoche is both a sporting and a social event. Families from Wörth and neighboring communities come for an afternoon, club members help for days, and friendly clubs bring their teams and some of their supporters. Admission is free, and the proceeds go to club activities, especially the youth department.
