3rd Speyer Spring Market with around 64 exhibitors in Maximilianstraße — plants, outdoor furniture, and sculptures on the last April weekend with Sunday opening hours
The Speyer Spring Market is the evolution of the former Garden and Plant Market. Since 2024, it has been running under a new name and with an expanded concept — the 3rd edition in 2026 shows that the format is gaining popularity. Maximilianstraße is an ideal venue: central shopping axis, within walking distance of the train station, well-frequented.
The offer focuses on plants, gardens, and the outdoor lifestyle. Plant vendors display orchids, hydrangeas, perennials, bonsai, herbs, and potted plants. Outdoor furniture dealers present lounge furniture, classics, and designer pieces. Aquatic plant specialists showcase water plants, pond systems, and filter systems. In addition, there are sculptures made of stone, bronze, and Corten steel, grills, smokers, and outdoor kitchens, as well as garden decorations.
The Spring Market opens on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 11 am as part of the Zunftbaumfest (Guild Tree Festival) — a traditional event of the Speyer guilds and craftsmen. The Zunftbaumfest provides a festive start to the Spring Market and connects it with the local craft and small business tradition.
Sunday, April 26th, 2026, is also a Sunday with open shops in Speyer's city center. From 1 pm to 6 pm, the shops between Altpörtel and the Cathedral will open, while the Spring Market runs all day. This combination — market and city center shopping — regularly attracts a large audience from Speyer and the surrounding area.
The 3rd edition in 2026 runs on the last April weekend. On Saturday morning, the Zunftbaumfest opens the market, and on Sunday, the Sunday opening hours complement the program.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in spring. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years.
