About Spaichingen Christmas Market

When the municipal market square is illuminated on the first weekend of Advent, the Christmas season begins for Spaichingen. Around twenty wooden huts and market stalls are grouped around the historic town center, offering decorative items, toys, large and small gift ideas, as well as mulled wine, roasted almonds, chestnuts, and Swabian specialties. Advent Atmosphere in the Heart of Spaichingen

The Spaichingen Christmas Market is one of the traditional Advent markets in the Tuttlingen district. For an extended weekend, the market square transforms into a Christmas village at the foot of the Dreifaltigkeitsberg. Around 20 wooden huts and market stalls form a compact Advent mile that can be experienced on foot.

What You'll Find at the Market Square

  • Decorative items — Advent wreaths, stars made of wood and straw, incense smokers from the Erzgebirge region, handmade nativity figures
  • Toys and gift ideas — from wooden toys to regional crafts
  • Culinary delights — mulled wine, punch, roasted almonds, chestnuts, bratwurst, potato pancakes, waffles, Swabian baked apples
  • Association catering — the Kolping family Spaichingen and other local associations are traditionally present

2026 — Dates and Organization

For 2026, the Spaichingen Christmas Market is expected to take place on the first weekend of Advent (December 4th to 6th, 2026). Official confirmation will be provided in late summer by the City of Spaichingen — the registration deadline for stallholders has been set for February 28th, 2026. The organizer is the city in cooperation with ArGe Märkte (Mr. Zwirblis).

Spaichingen and the Dreifaltigkeitsberg

Spaichingen, with just under 13,000 inhabitants, is located on the edge of the Swabian Jura in the Tuttlingen district. Its landmark is the Dreifaltigkeitsberg (983 m) with its baroque pilgrimage church — its silhouette stands out above the Christmas market activities even in December. The town is home to several mechanical engineering and medical technology companies and serves as a gateway to the Danube-Heuberg region.

Getting There

Spaichingen is located on the Gäubahn (Stuttgart–Singen), with regular IC and RE connections at Spaichingen station. By car, take the B 14 or the A 81 (exit Rottweil, then continue on the B 14). The market square is within walking distance of the train station.
