Schlosshof Strünkede – The Stage

Schloss Strünkede is a moated castle in the Herne district of Baukau, with a closed courtyard and baroque grounds. The castle today houses the Emschertal Museum. The castle courtyard is a closed architectural complex – the stage appears theatrically concentrated within it, the acoustics are surprisingly good, and the historical shell gives the festival a special character.

Organizer City of Herne

The festival is presented by the Cultural Office of the City of Herne. The program manager is Maurice Margraf. The municipal sponsorship is reflected in fair ticket prices (€14 regular, €12 in advance) and a high curatorial standard.
