Sielort Celebrates Itself
Horumersiel is a typical Frisian Sielort on the Wadden Sea, whose economic and social life is closely linked to tourism, gastronomy, and crafts. The Sielortfete is the annual self-affirmation of this community: for four days, the Sielort celebrates itself with everything it has – clubs, restaurateurs, traders, and residents.
Friday Opening with Free Beer
The kickoff is on Friday afternoon at 3 PM: The business association invites you to the traditional free beer tapping in the village square. The mayor and club chairmen will officially open the Sielortfete, handing over the festival days to the community.
Four Days of Stage Program
Over the four days, bands from the region and national artists will perform on the central stage. The musical spectrum ranges from Schlager and cover rock to party music. In addition, there will be artists, magicians, and interactive activities.
Club Mile and Stands
Local clubs – from sports clubs and the volunteer fire brigade to cultural initiatives – present themselves on the club mile and collect donations for their work. In between, there are sales stands offering handicrafts, street food, sweets, and souvenirs.
Amusement Rides for the Family
For children, there will be amusement rides, carousels, and play areas. This makes the Sielortfete a classic family festival that brings all generations together.
Sielortfete — edition 2026
The 2026 edition continues the tradition of the summer festival that makes Horumersiel one of the liveliest Sielorts in the Wangerland. The festival mile extends around the village square and includes the businesses on the main street, ensuring that gastronomy, retail, and clubs alike benefit from the festivities.
