Concert in the Rococo Garden
The Serenade in the Hofgarten Veitshöchheim is one of the most atmospheric concert evenings of the Franconian summer. The venue is the Rococo Garden Veitshöchheim, one of the most important preserved Rococo gardens in Europe, with artfully trimmed hedges, water features, and mythological sculptures. In this unique setting, music becomes a sensual overall experience.
Salaputia Brass
On the serenade stage is the renowned brass ensemble Salaputia Brass – ten brass players and one percussionist. The ensemble presents its characteristic program of timeless hits from the 16th to the 20th century: Renaissance works meet West Side Story, Sting, and Henry Mancini. Virtuosity, joy of playing, and a tongue-in-cheek approach to styles characterize their concerts.

The serenade is part of the renowned Mozartfest Würzburg, one of the oldest and most important Mozart festivals in Germany. The serenade concerts in the palace garden of Würzburg Residence and in the Rococo Garden Veitshöchheim are among the audience favorites of the festival.
Veitshöchheim – The Summer Residence
The Hofgarten Veitshöchheim once served the Prince-Bishops of Würzburg as a summer residence. Today, the garden is an attraction for cultural travelers – and on serenade evenings, an open-air concert hall.
Serenade in the Palace Garden — edition 2026
On Sunday evening, June 7, 2026, at 8:30 PM, the Rococo Garden Veitshöchheim transforms into an open-air concert hall. Salaputia Brass – ten brass players and one percussionist – will perform a program of timeless hits from the 16th to 20th centuries: Renaissance sounds meet pieces from West Side Story, as well as works by Sting and Henry Mancini. The organizer is the Mozartfest Würzburg. In case of unfavorable weather, the concert will move to the Mainfranken Säle; a telephone announcement will provide information on the venue from 5:30 PM on the concert day at 0931 372336.

Veitshöchheim is located a few kilometers downstream from Würzburg on the Main river. Travel by train (Veitshöchheim station), bus, car (A3/A7, B27), or by boat from Würzburg. The palace garden is located at Echterstraße 10.
