Club Tradition Since 1933
The Salzgitter-Thiede Marksmen's Association was founded in 1933, making it one of the most traditional marksmen's clubs in the northern Salzgitter city area. Its Schützenhaus at Schützenstraße 29 serves as a meeting point for regular training, competitions, and social club evenings. The association is a member of the Salzgitter District Marksmen's Association and participates in supra-local competitions as well as the annual City Marksmen's Day.
Civic Day 2026
The Civic Day, which combines the marksmen's tradition with the involvement of the local community, will take place in 2026 on Saturday, September 5th. The focus will be on various shooting competitions, open to both club members and interested guests. Experienced marksmen from the association will be available for instruction, ensuring safe procedures at all shooting ranges.
Sociable Atmosphere
Beyond the sporting aspect, the Civic Day is an important social occasion. An afternoon coffee gathering, a communal dinner, and a convivial end to the day at the Schützenhaus strengthen the bonds among members while offering guests the chance to get to know club life.
