SV Volksdorf in the Samtgemeinde Niedernwöhren
The SV Volksdorf e.V. is one of the active shooting clubs in the Samtgemeinde Niedernwöhren in the Schaumburg district. Its shooting range at Gallhöfer Weide 10 in Meerbeck forms the geographical center of club life. The club cultivates sporting competitions as well as traditional customs surrounding the determination of the king.
Königsschießen on June 5, 2026
On June 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the royal title will be contested at the shooting range. Shooters will compete in several disciplines using air rifles or small-caliber rifles. The highest scores on the king's target will decide the new majesties. Following the sporting competition, the results will be evaluated and the new titleholders announced.
Easter Prize Shoot as Pre-Event
The Easter Prize Shoot already took place on April 2, 2026, at the shooting range. It traditionally serves as the sporting season opener and brings club members together for a convivial competition evening. Winners receive small prizes.

For over two and a half hours, the shooters of SV Volksdorf compete to determine the royal title. The competition disciplines follow the guidelines of the club and the German Shooting Federation. The highest scores decide.

After the scoring, the new majesties will be announced. The official proclamation and awarding of sashes usually take place during a later club event.
