The Schützenfest of SV Ganderkesee from 1890 is one of the largest club festivals in the Ganderkeseer Schützenbund's event calendar. The club was founded in 1890 and will celebrate its traditional shooting festival weekend on June 27 and 28, 2026, in the main town of the municipality of Ganderkesee.
With a bird shooting contest, a festive parade through the town center, a king's dinner, and a dance evening, the weekend follows the classic structure of a North German Schützenfest. The proclamation of the new shooting king will take place on Sunday at 7 p.m.

SV Ganderkesee from 1890
Founded in 1890, SV Ganderkesee is one of the older shooting clubs in the municipality. Over 135 years of club history are reflected in active club life with shooting training, competitive sports, and the annual organization of the Schützenfest. The club maintains its own shooting ranges and a clubhouse.

King Proclamation Sunday 7 PM
The highlight of the weekend is the king proclamation on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The reigning king relinquishes his title, and the new shooting king and queen are adorned with the king's chain and presented to the assembly.
