Marksmen's Tradition between Winsen and Hamburg
Stelle is a municipality in the southwestern district of Harburg, located between Winsen an der Luhe and the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. The Schützenverein Stelle-Stellerloh has been celebrating its annual Schützenfest for decades, which is firmly anchored in village life.
Three Days of Festivities at the End of May 2026
The festivities will take place from Friday, May 29th, to Sunday, May 31st, 2026. This makes the festival one of the early highlights of the marksmen's season in the Harburg district and symbolically opens the summer of club festivals.
King's Shoot and Zapfenstreich
Friday opens with the King's Shoot, where the new monarchs are determined. In the evening, the Zapfenstreich follows – a ceremonial moment that honors the royal families and showcases the marksmen's tradition in all its dignity.
Parade on Saturday
The parade on Saturday afternoon will lead the marksmen, the marching bands, and the invited neighboring clubs through Stelle. Afterwards, everyone returns to the festival grounds, where the grand King's Ball begins in the festival tent – with a live band, dancing, and festive catering until late into the night.
Morning Pint, Family Day, and Proclamation
Sunday is dedicated to family and community. A morning pint (Frühschoppen) with brass music in the morning, a children's King's Shoot with small light rifles, carousels, and a bouncy castle, and in the afternoon, the ceremonial proclamation of the new monarchs. The festival concludes in a convivial atmosphere.
