Village Tradition
The districts of Calbecht and Lobmachtersen are located in the southern part of Salzgitter and are rural in character. As in many small villages in Northern Germany, the annual Schützenfest is the most important event in club life. The joint Schützenverein Calbecht/Lobmachtersen, a member of the Kreisschützenverband Salzgitter, organises the festival together with the village community, the volunteer fire brigade, and the rural women's association.
