124 Years of the Ramelsloh Shooting Club

In 2026, the Ramelsloh Shooting Club (Schützenverein Ramelsloh e.V.) looks back on 124 years of club history. For over four generations, the club has shaped the shooting tradition in Ramelsloh and developed the annual shooting festival into a firm institution of village life. The club's tradition is closely linked to the history of the historic collegiate town.

Four Festival Days from July 31st to August 3rd, 2026

Friday to Monday form the framework of the festival. Four days of festivities centered around the first Sunday in August make the Ramelsloh shooting festival an extended summer highlight for the club family and the village community.

King's Shoot and King's Proclamation

The highlight of every shooting festival is the competition for the royal title. The King's Shoot determines the new majesties of the club, who will shape the coming year and the next festival. The ceremonial proclamation on Monday afternoon honors the new kings among the shooting fraternity and the Ramelsloh village community.

Grand Tattoo and Parade

The Grand Tattoo (Großer Zapfenstreich) on Saturday evening is one of the emotional highlights – traditional music sounds in the fading light under the glow of torches. The parade on Sunday leads the marksmen, the drum corps, and invited neighboring clubs through Ramelsloh, past the historic collegiate church.

Festival Tent, Dance Evenings, and Family Day

The large festival tent on the shooting grounds at Breite Straße is the center of all evening events. Live bands ensure a full dance floor on several evenings. The Family Day with a children's king shoot, carousels, and games is aimed at the youngest guests. The morning pint (Frühschoppen) on Monday brings together the members with brass music before the final proclamation.

Schützenfest Ramelsloh — edition 2026

From Friday, July 31st to Monday, August 3rd, 2026, the Ramelsloh Shooting Club (Schützenverein Ramelsloh e.V.) invites you to the annual shooting festival on the Schützenplatz at Breite Straße in Seevetal-Ramelsloh. Four days of festivities featuring the King's Shoot, Grand Tattoo (Großer Zapfenstreich), parade, King's Ball, Family Day, and morning pint (Frühschoppen) characterize the weekend in the traditional collegiate town of Ramelsloh. Admission to the festival grounds is free, dance evenings have a small entrance fee. The exact program for 2026 with band names, timings, and detailed schedule will be published by the club in early summer. Information will be available in local postings in good time. The festival continues the 124-year tradition of the club.

The 2026 edition marks the 124th occurrence in the club's history, thus being part of a long shooting tradition in Ramelsloh. As always, the entire village community is invited to celebrate together for four days.

The historic collegiate town of Ramelsloh, with its Romanesque collegiate church, provides a special setting for the shooting festival. The parade traditionally passes by this historic church.
