About Schützenfest Pattensen Children's Festival

On the weekend of June 19th and 20th, 2026, the Pattensen and surrounding area Rifle Club (Schützenverein Pattensen und Umgegend von 1888 e.V.) invites you to the Children's and Family Festival in the Pattensen district of Winsen. Unlike traditional Schützenfeste (rifle festivals), the focus here is on the children's program: Children's King Shooting, the EGON playmobil with numerous physical activity and skill-based offerings, coffee and cake, a bouncy castle, and a varied family program characterize the two festival days. The Pattensen Rifle House (Schützenhaus Pattensen) at Hirtenbrink 59 provides the backdrop for a festival that brings Pattensen families together and passes on the shooting tradition to the youngest generation. The rifle club, founded in 1888, sees the Children's and Family Festival as an investment in the future of club life and as an open invitation to all families in the town. Admission to the festival grounds is free; individual activities are at cost price. The exact 2026 program with timings will be published by the club on its website in early summer.

Children's and Family Festival of the SV Pattensen

The Children's and Family Festival is one of two Schützenfest (rifle festival) weekends that the Pattensen and surrounding area Rifle Club (Schützenverein Pattensen und Umgegend von 1888 e.V.) hosts annually. While the traditional Schützenfest in late summer is dedicated to adults and club members, the June festival is entirely focused on children and families.

Children's King Shooting with Light Rifle

The Children's King Shooting is the central competition of the weekend. Using light rifles – safe, child-friendly sporting equipment – children from primary school age determine their Children's Queen and Children's King. The festive proclamation with sash, crown, and king's chain follows the classic club ritual, giving the young shooters their first experience with club tradition.

EGON Playmobil and Physical Activity Offerings

The EGON playmobil brings a wide selection of play, movement, and skill-based equipment and is a major attraction for younger festival visitors. A bouncy castle, craft activities, skill courses, and other stations complement the program. The event is intentionally accessible and also aimed at families who have no connection to the club.

Coffee, Cake, and a Meeting Place for Pattensen Residents

Homemade cake, coffee, and refreshments are offered by the club and serve as a central meeting point for Pattensen families. The Rifle House with its shady outdoor area provides a relaxed setting for these encounters. Proceeds from cake sales and catering go towards the club's youth work.

Schützenfest Pattensen Children's Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Pattensen Children's and Family Festival will take place on Friday, June 19th, and Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at the Schützenhaus Hirtenbrink 59. The focus is on the Children's King Shooting with a light rifle, complemented by the EGON playmobil with numerous physical activity and skill-based offerings, a bouncy castle, craft activities, and coffee and cake from the club's funds. The organizer is the Pattensen and surrounding area Rifle Club (Schützenverein Pattensen und Umgegend von 1888 e.V.). Admission to the festival grounds is free; individual activities are at cost price. The exact 2026 program with timings will be published by the club on its website in early summer. Pattensen is located within the town of Winsen and is accessible via the A39 motorway, exit Winsen-Ost.

The 2026 edition continues the tradition of the family festival and marks the start of the club's Schützenfest season. With the children's festival, the club is specifically investing in youth work and creating an accessible entry point to the shooting tradition for families from the entire Winsen area.

Proceeds from cake sales and catering will go to the club's youth department. Families are warmly welcome, regardless of club membership.
