Schützenfest Osterscheps 2026

Marksmen's Tradition in the Osterscheps District

The Schützenfest Osterscheps is an integral part of the Edewecht event calendar. The local marksmen's club, which has been organizing the festival at the traditional Schützenhof Osterscheps for decades, is the organizer. The venue is Osterschepser Straße 4 — a few hundred meters from the town center.

2026 Edition — Two Days

The 2026 event takes place on Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026, starting at 5 p.m. each day. The opening on Friday evening will be the celebratory evening with dancing, followed on Saturday by the marksmen's program with the king's competition and parade.

Marksmen's Festival Classics

As is customary at Ammerland marksmen's festivals, the event includes a clear program of customs: king's competition, parade, proclamation of the new king and queen, celebratory ball with live music or DJ. The festival catering provides beer, bratwurst, and hearty classics; the family is also involved with a children's program and a coffee reception.

Osterscheps — Edewecht District with Club Life

Osterscheps is one of the larger districts of Edewecht with active club life — marksmen, athletes, and the fire department shape the social fabric. Here, as everywhere in the Ammerland, the marksmen's festival is the most important date in the village community's annual program.
