Schützenfest in Neustadt am Rübenberge
Neustadt am Rübenberge, one of Germany's largest towns by area with almost 45,000 inhabitants, maintains a vibrant marksmen's tradition. The Neustadt Marksmen's Association organizes the annual Schützenfest, which spans four days and is managed from the Schützenhaus.
Practice Shoots in the Lead-up
Several practice shoots take place in the run-up to the festival – a firm component of club life and at the same time preparation for the marksmen for the bird shooting on the festival weekend. Dates in May and June will be communicated by the Marksmen's Association.
Mallorca Party as a Highlight
A special hallmark is the Mallorca Party, which takes place on the Saturday evening of the Schützenfest. In 2026, it is scheduled for Saturday, June 13. It has established itself as a crowd-puller in recent years and is aimed particularly at a young, party-loving audience. Tickets are available in advance at hansaticket.de.
Classic Marksmen's Traditions
In addition, classic marksmen's traditions shape the program: bird shooting, proclamation of the king, marksmen's parade, several ladies' and gentlemen's evenings, as well as club dinners and banquets. This creates a festival that appeals equally to young partygoers and tradition-conscious marksmen.
Festival Weekend in June
The festival weekend in 2026 runs from Thursday, June 11, to Sunday, June 14. During these days, uniforms, music bands, and marquee operations characterize the scene around the Schützenhaus.
