150th Anniversary of the Marklohe Shooting Club (1876–2026) with M&M DJ-Team, Strobrotherz, TNT DJ-Team, and Bubingas Orchestra
The Marklohe Shooting Club (Schützenverein Marklohe e.V.) was founded in 1876, making it one of the oldest clubs in the Nienburg/Weser district. The club's continuous activity over a century and a half is a testament to a vibrant club culture in the municipality of Marklohe, which belongs to the Weser-Aue collective municipality and is situated on the Weser river between Nienburg and Hoya.
Preparations for the anniversary have been underway for years. Particularly noteworthy: the Royal Court is fully staffed again in 2026 — the King, Ladies' Queen, Youth King, and Children's King have been determined and will be proclaimed during the festival. This makes the anniversary celebration a living example of functioning club structures, which are no longer a given in many shooting clubs.
The festival program spans three days: Friday evening gathering of the youth royal court and disco with M&M DJ-Team & Strobrotherz; Saturday traditional wake-up call at 5 AM by the fanfare, family afternoon from 3 PM with entertainment, followed by the King's Dinner and dance evening with TNT DJ-Team; Sunday as the grand day with a parade at 10:30 AM and a concert by the Bubingas Orchestra in the afternoon.
The Bubingas Orchestra has established itself in the Mittelweser region as the go-to festival band for major anniversaries and shooting festivals. With rousing music, Schlager hits, and brass band tunes, they cover the entire repertoire for a festive afternoon's entertainment, creating the atmosphere a 150th anniversary deserves.
150 years of the Shooting Club mean 150 years of club life, volunteer commitment, and tradition in Marklohe. The anniversary festival is therefore co-organized and celebrated not only by the club but also by the municipality of Marklohe, the Weser-Aue collective municipality, and neighboring shooting clubs. It is one of the highlights of the 2026 club year in the Nienburg/Weser district.
The full detailed program with all timings is available at schuetzenverein-marklohe.de/programm.html. Everyone from the municipality of Marklohe, the Weser-Aue collective municipality, neighboring shooting clubs, and the entire Mittelweser region is invited.
The anniversary festival explicitly welcomes the entire family. Saturday afternoon offers a dedicated children's program; the Sunday parade is also attractive for young visitors. The festival grounds offer food stalls, sweets, and non-alcoholic beverages.
