Two Schützenvereine in Lastrup
The municipality of Lastrup is unique in the Cloppenburg district: it is the only municipality in the district with two Schützenvereine. In addition to the traditional Lastruper Schützenverein von 1836, there is also the Schützenverein Lastrup 1875 e.V., which was founded almost 40 years later. Both clubs maintain their own festival traditions and jointly uphold the Schützenwesen (marksmen's traditions) in the community.
