Lastrup Marksmen's Association of 1836 — Almost 200 Years of Tradition
The Lastrup Marksmen's Association of 1836 e.V. is one of the oldest marksmen's associations in the Cloppenburg district. Its founding in 1836 dates back to a time when marksmanship was experiencing a boom in the predominantly Catholic Oldenburger Münsterland region. Lastrup is the only municipality in the district with two marksmen's associations: the traditional club of 1836 and the younger club of 1875.
Four-Day Main Festival
In 2026, the main Schützenfest will span four days, from Friday to Monday. In advance, the children's king shooting will take place on Saturday, June 20 — the youngest club members will determine their children's king or queen. A week later, the grand festival follows with the king's collection, parade, church service, king's dinner, proclamation, and three dance evenings in the festival tent.
Club Life Throughout the Year
The association also organizes two traditional Schützenbälle (marksmen's balls) — one in January and one at the end of November (Schützenball on January 10 and November 28, 2026). These social highlights complement the summer festival and sustain club life throughout the year.

Getting There
Lastrup is located in the southern Cloppenburg district on the federal highway B 213. Arrive by car; parking is available around the Schützenplatz and in the town center.
