Bürger- und Schützenfest Klecken

SV Klecken von 1924

The SV Klecken von 1924 e.V. has been rooted in the Klecken village community for over a hundred years. The club cultivates the marksmen's tradition in its traditional form and hosts the annual Bürger- und Schützenfest as its most important event of the year. Members of the club come from Klecken and the surrounding districts of the municipality of Rosengarten.

Klecken Shooting Grounds as Festival Site

The Klecken shooting grounds are the club's traditional venue. With a shooting range, festival tent area, and outdoor spaces, it offers the spatial requirements for a four-day marksmen's festival with several hundred visitors. Its central location in Klecken makes the grounds easily accessible.

Four Days of Marksmen's Tradition

The festival runs from Friday to Monday. The opening is the ceremonial Zapfenstreich on Friday at 9:30 PM, followed by the bird shooting on Saturday, the proclamation of the king, the king's dinner, and the king's ball on Saturday evening. On Sunday, the star march takes place, followed by the festival parade, children's festival, and the festival conclusion on Monday.

Star March with Delegations

A special feature of the Klecken marksmen's festival is the star march on festival Sunday. Delegations from friendly marksmen's clubs from the neighboring districts of Brackel, Eckel, Helmstorf, Hittfeld, and Nenndorf march from their home towns to the Klecken shooting grounds, meeting there in a star formation. This march demonstrates the solidarity of the marksmen's clubs in the region and is an impressive display of community spirit.

Children's Festival on Sunday

The children's festival on Sunday at 1 PM is specifically tailored for young families. Games, hands-on activities, carousels, and children's programs make Sunday afternoon a family day. Thus, the festival fulfills its function as an intergenerational club festival and secures the sympathy of future marksmen members.
