Schützenverein Hoyerhagen since 1904

The Schützenverein Hoyerhagen e.V. from 1904 is one of the oldest clubs in the Grafschaft Hoya collective municipality. With over 120 years of uninterrupted club history, the association has kept the tradition of North German shooting alive and passed it on to generations of Hoyerhagen residents. The annual Schützenfest is the highlight of the club's year.

Hoyerhagen — Village in the Grafschaft Hoya

Hoyerhagen is a municipality in the Grafschaft Hoya collective municipality in the Nienburg/Weser district. The rural village is located between Hoya and Bücken and is characterized by agriculture and a close-knit village community. The Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Hoyerhagen (village community center) at Am Sportplatz 13 is the central meeting point of village life and also the venue for the club's festivals.

Thursday Program

Thursday, July 9, 2026: Procession at 1 PM starting from the historic mill — the marksmen gather at the old Hoyerhagen mill and march with fanfare and club banners through the village to the community center. This tradition connects the Schützenfest with the agricultural past of the place. Afterwards, King's shooting and opening events.

Saturday Program

Saturday, July 11, 2026: Procession at 8:30 AM starting from the schoolyard — this time from the historic schoolyard, with all friendly clubs and marching bands. During the day, the grand parade through Hoyerhagen, the King's dinner for the dignitaries, and the proclamation of the new Shooting King follow. In the evening at 8 PM, the King's Ball in the festival hall with a live band or DJ — the social highlight of the festival.

Significance for the Village Community

With over 120 years of club history and an active membership, the SV Hoyerhagen contributes significantly to the identity and vitality of the town. The Schützenfest brings together not only the club families but the entire village community, former Hoyerhagen residents, and guests from neighboring municipalities. Especially invited are the shooting clubs of the Grafschaft Hoya collective municipality — from Bücken to Hoya itself.
