Village Schützenfest in the Belm District

The Schützenfest of SV Holsten-Mündrup is the annual traditional festival of the Holsten-Mündrup district in the municipality of Belm. The district combines the two formerly independent farming communities of Holsten and Mündrup and maintains a central shared tradition with the Schützenfest.

Two Days on Pentecost Weekend

The 2026 edition runs on Saturday, 23 May, and Sunday, 24 May. This makes the format more compact than three-day Schützenfests — two intensive days instead of an extended Pentecost weekend.

Schützenfest Classics

As is customary for Schützenfests in the Osnabrück region, the festival includes a clear traditional program: bird shooting, king's competition, proclamation of the new king and queen, parade through the district, king's dinner, dance evening with a live band. The festival catering provides for the guests over the two festival days.

Osnabrück-Land-Ost Shooting District

SV Holsten-Mündrup is a member of the Osnabrück-Land-Ost Shooting District and maintains the tradition together with the friendly clubs in the region. Fanfare and pipe bands, belonging to the association of marksmen in the eastern Osnabrück district, march along in the parade.

Belm — Municipality with Many Districts

The municipality of Belm consists of several historically developed districts, of which Holsten-Mündrup is one. In addition to the Schützenfest in Powe, the Schützenfest Holsten-Mündrup is an essential part of the municipal festival calendar — and an important day in the village's annual cycle.
