The Schützenverein Haselünnerstraße Lingen is one of the Lingen shooting clubs that preserve customs at the district level. Unlike the larger city clubs such as the Lingener Bürgerschützen or the clubs from Laxten and Holthausen, the Haselünnerstraße club is a typical district club — with a manageable number of members, a family atmosphere, and close neighborhood ties.

Three Days of Festivities

The festival runs over the weekend of June 13th to 15th, 2026, and follows the classic structure of an Emsland Schützenfest:

• Saturday, June 13th: Festival opening with picking up the king, march to the festival grounds, opening evening with live music or DJ
• Sunday, June 14th: Festival church service, shooting competition / bird shooting, king's dinner, dance evening
• Monday, June 15th: Proclamation of the new shooting king, awards ceremony, closing evening

Customs and Sociability

As with all Schützenfeste, it's about more than just shooting: the focus is on the king's proclamation, honoring the outgoing and new dignitaries, club community, and social gathering in the festival tavern. A marching band and club flags accompany the parades, and the festival tavern is a meeting point for members, guests, and neighbors.

Voluntary Commitment as a Foundation

Like many clubs of its size, the Schützenverein Haselünnerstraße relies on the voluntary commitment of its members. From setting up the festival tent to running the festival tavern and organizing the program, much is done in-house — this makes the festival personal and approachable.
