Schützenverein Gersten-Drope
The Schützenverein Gersten-Drope e.V. is a typical example of the rural Schützenfest culture of the Emsland: Two small villages — Gersten and Drope, with Drope being a district of Gersten — form a joint marksmen's club. This constellation is widespread in the Emsland and a practical example of village solidarity: where a single village would be too small for its own club, neighboring places join forces.
