St.-Paulus-Schützenbruderschaft Emstek
The Sankt-Paulus-Schützenbruderschaft Emstek is the main carrier of Schützen traditions in the municipality of Emstek in the southern district of Cloppenburg. The patron saint Paul refers to the Catholic-influenced tradition of the Schützenbruderschaften (marksmen's brotherhoods) of the Oldenburg Münsterland region. The Pentecost Schützenfest is the annual highlight of the club's year.
Big Band Opening with the Big Band Bösel
A special feature of the Emstek Schützenfest is the Big Band concert to kick off the festivities on Friday evening. The Big Band Bösel — one of the region's best-known big bands — traditionally plays to open the festival week.
