Traditional Bürger-Schützenfest (citizens' marksmen's festival) of the Schützenkorps Diepholz in Müntepark with parade, king's proclamation, and dance evening
The Schützenkorps Diepholz e.V. is a traditional club with a long history and a firm place in the district town of Diepholz. The Bürger-Schützenfest in Müntepark is the most important event in the club's year, combining a parade, bird shooting, king's dinner, and dance evenings into a three-day festival that involves the entire town.
For many years, Müntepark in the center of Diepholz has been the setting for the Schützenfest. The large festival tent, which can accommodate hundreds of guests, is set up here. During the festival, the park becomes a meeting point for citizens, members of the corps, and guests from surrounding clubs.
The classic program follows the proven cornerstones of North German marksmen's traditions. On Friday, the corps opens the festival with an assembly and welcome evening in the festival tent. Saturday features the grand parade through the Diepholz town center, followed by the king's dinner and a dance evening with a band. Sunday includes a morning pint (Frühschoppen), family day, and the king's proclamation before the festival concludes in the evening.
Anyone interested in learning more about the corps or becoming a member can contact us at [email protected] or by calling 05441 2309. Current information about the festival program is available at schuetzenkorps-diepholz.de and in local media.
The Bürger-Schützenfest is more than just a club event—it's a Diepholz tradition that shapes the town's history. Participating in the parade or visiting the festival tent offers an experience of customs, conviviality, and popular festival atmosphere.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the Schützenkorps Diepholz in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years.
