District Schützenfest with its Own Soundscape

The Allgemeiner Schützenverein Zur Blanke is one of Nordhorn's active district clubs. Its Schützenhaus at Heideweg 15 is a meeting point with its own atmosphere and has long stood for an accessible, youth-oriented Schützenfest that appeals to both club members and district residents. Within Nordhorn, the club is among the most vibrant and shapes the festive calendar of its neighborhood.

Warm-Up Party on Friday

The kick-off on July 31 is the warm-up party with DJ Tommy and Schröder. Both DJs are part of the regional scene, bringing a program of Schlager, Mallorca hits, and mainstream pop to the Schützenhaus. With this, the club specifically attracts a younger audience and positions the Schützenfest as an accessible district event.

King's Ball with MERYLIN

Saturday, August 1, is dedicated to the King's Ball with the band MERYLIN from Königswinter. The live band delivers a dance program of cover classics, Schlager, and pop, tailored to the classic King's Ball character. The dance floor in the Schützenhaus becomes the evening's central stage.

Frühschoppen with DE BONKENBARGKAPEL

Sunday, August 2, starts early: From 6 a.m., the sounds of the Spielmannszug Blanke (marching band) will ring through the district, waking members for the festive day. From 11 a.m., the Frühschoppen takes place in the Schützenhaus with DE BONKENBARGKAPEL – a band well-known in the Dutch-North German border region for its mix of brass music, party music, and traditional repertoire.
