Schützenfest in the Südheide
The Schützengesellschaft Beedenbostel e.V. is one of the most important associations in the municipality of Beedenbostel in the eastern district of Celle. The village is located in the Südheide landscape area and is the seat of the Samtgemeinde Lachendorf. As in many Heide communities, the Schützenfest here is an identity-forming event in which a large part of the village population participates.
Three Days of Program
The festival runs from Friday to Sunday and combines the classic program points of a North German Schützenfest:
- Festival parade through the village with marksmen, marching band, and fanfare band
- King's shooting and King's proclamation
- Festival tent with catering, live music, and dancing
- Children's Schützenfest with its own competitions
- Sunday morning pint
- Grand Tattoo to conclude
- Accompanying snacks, catering, and small amusement rides
