Schützenverein Badbergen — Club Life in the Artland
The Badbergen Shooting Club is one of the oldest clubs in the municipality and significantly shapes the social life of the town. The annual Schützenfest is the highlight of the club's work and, at the same time, a communal experience for the entire village. Preparations begin weeks before the festival weekend: shooting ranges are prepared, the festival tent is erected, uniforms are checked, and oak wreaths are tied.
King's Shooting and Festival Parade
The central program point is the king's shooting, where the new monarchs are determined. The proclamation of the king, the king's dinner, and the grand parade through Badbergen are the emotional highlights of the weekend. The parade is accompanied by a marching band or music ensemble. Stops are made at prominent locations — in front of the town hall, at the home of the new monarchs.
Dance Evening and Morning Pint
The dance evening in the festival tent with live music brings together club members and guests in a convivial atmosphere. The traditional morning pint (Frühschoppen) on Sunday or Monday morning provides a relaxed end to the festival. Families can find various activities for the youngest guests on Family Day.
