50 Years of Youth and Ladies' Departments

The Ashausen and Surrounding Area Marksmen's Association (Schützenverein Ashausen und Umgegend e.V.) celebrates a special anniversary in 2026: The club's Youth and Ladies' Departments have existed since 1976, marking 50 years of dedicated club work. The founding in the seventies was an important step in modernizing marksmanship and opening it up to women and young people.

Two Festival Days on August 1st and 2nd, 2026

Saturday and Sunday form the framework of the festival. Saturday opens with the King's Shoot and the anniversary celebrations; the evening features the festive dance in the large marquee. Sunday brings the festive parade through Ashausen, the family day with a children's program, and the ceremonial proclamation of the new monarchs.

Anniversary Program

The 50th anniversary of the Youth and Ladies' Departments will be honored with special awards, an anniversary address, and an exhibition on the department's history. The women and young people of the club have kept the marksmen's tradition alive for over five decades and enriched club life with new impulses.

King's Shoot and Festive Parade

The King's Shoot on Saturday determines the new monarchs. The festive parade on Sunday leads the marksmen, the marching bands, and the invited neighboring clubs through Ashausen, with special attention to the Ladies' and Youth Departments, who play a prominent role in the anniversary year.

Marquee and Family Day

The festival marquee on the Schützenplatz is the center of the evening events with live music and dancing. The family day with a children's king's shoot, carousels, and bouncy castle is aimed at the youngest guests and emphasizes the family character of the Ashausen Schützenfest.
