Five days of Schützenfest with a parade, torchlight procession, king's shooting, and a large Volksfest on the Allerinsel – supported by five united Celle marksmen's associations
The Schützen- und Volksfest Celle is one of the oldest and most traditional marksmen's festivals in Lower Saxony. It is unique in that, instead of a single marksmen's association, five united Celle marksmen's associations jointly organize the festival:
The venue is the Allerinsel with Hafenstraße – a central, inner-city festival ground right by the water. Over the five days, the area transforms into a classic Volksfest landscape with a festival tent, amusement rides, shooting galleries, food stalls, game booths, and stage performances.
The focus of the marksmen-specific program points are:
In parallel, a family day, children's rides, swings, carousels, and an open festival tent provide classic Volksfest entertainment. Admission to the festival grounds is free.
The 2026 edition runs from Friday, July 17th, to Tuesday, July 21st, 2026. The festival grounds on the Allerinsel open daily from 2 PM.
The organizers are the five united Celle marksmen's associations (Altstadt, Hehlentor, Neustadt-Altenhäusen, Neuenhäusen, Altenceller Vorstadt). Admission to the festival grounds is free.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:

Approx. 10 minutes on foot from Celle Central Station. Parking available in the city center parking garages.
