Three Days of City Festival with a Mix of Generations

The Schüttorfer Sommer is the largest urban city festival in the small town of Grafschaft and combines different program formats over three days, each appealing to its own target audience. From the nightlife-oriented DJ contest on Friday, to the evening live music series on Saturday, to the pure family day on Sunday, the festival covers the essential expectations that a city festival in a small town must meet.

DJ Contest on Friday

Friday, August 14th, kicks off with the DJ contest from 6 PM to midnight. Local and regional DJs compete against each other, and the winner receives a DJ gig at the well-known Joker Lingen. The evening is presented by Schüttorf's Eierschale and Bar Buffys, both established venues in the Schüttorf gastro scene. The competitive nature and the free open-air atmosphere particularly attract younger adults.

City Sounds Vol. 4 on Saturday

Saturday, August 15th, runs as Schüttorf City Sounds Vol. 4 from 5 PM to midnight. Live bands with different genre focuses – rock, pop, acoustic, cover bands – play on several stages. The surrounding street food market provides culinary accompaniment to the evening.

Family Day on Sunday

Sunday, August 16th, from 12 PM to 6 PM, is Family Day with a dense program of activities. Fairy tale walk-acts and Transformer figures meet visitors in the pedestrian zone, the children's band Blindfische performs on the main stage, and Christian Hüser presents a family program. The offerings are complemented by XXL toys, a children's olympiad, and a climbing wall, ensuring that older children also have an active day.

Street Food Market Over Three Days

The street food market runs throughout all three days and forms the gastronomic backbone of the festival. Providers from the region and nationally known street food concepts ensure a diverse offering. Free admission to all program points makes the festival an accessible destination for the region.
