About Schlosskonzerte Bad Iburg

The Schlosskonzerte Bad Iburg celebrate their 50th anniversary in the 2025/26 season. Between January 18 and June 7, 2026, six first-class chamber concerts will bring renowned soloists and ensembles to the Knights' Hall of Iburg Castle. Highlights include performances by Antje Weithaas and Boris Kusnezow (violin and piano), the Georg Pommer Trio with the Prix du Courage, the Gewandhaus Quartet Leipzig with Charlotte Steppes, Alissa Margulis with Michiaki Ueno and José Gallardo, and the Ma'alot Quintet. A concert series with great tradition in one of the most beautiful historic venues in the Osnabrück region.

50 Years of Chamber Music in the Knights' Hall

The Schlosskonzerte Bad Iburg were founded in 1976 and are celebrating their 50th anniversary in the 2025/26 season. The concert series is one of Lower Saxony's most renowned chamber music series and has brought together international soloists and ensembles in the historic Knights' Hall of Iburg Castle for decades.

Iburg Castle as a Venue

Iburg Castle is one of the most important castles in the Osnabrück region. Located on a hill above the spa town, it combines episcopal and baroque architecture. The Knights' Hall, with its excellent acoustics, offers a worthy setting for top-class chamber music.

Program Season 2025/26 — Six Concerts

The season includes six concerts with internationally active artists and ensembles:

January 18, 2026 — Antje Weithaas and Boris Kusnezow

Violinist Antje Weithaas is one of Germany's leading violinists. Together with pianist Boris Kusnezow, she will perform a classical duo program.

February 22 and March 8, 2026 — Georg Pommer Trio

The Georg Pommer Trio will present its program with the Prix du Courage. Two concert dates allow for an in-depth experience.

March 22, 2026 — Gewandhaus Quartet Leipzig with Charlotte Steppes

The Gewandhaus Quartet Leipzig, one of Europe's most traditional string quartets, will perform with Charlotte Steppes as guest soloist.

April 19, 2026 — Alissa Margulis, Michiaki Ueno, and José Gallardo

Trio concert with violinist Alissa Margulis, cellist Michiaki Ueno, and pianist José Gallardo.

June 7, 2026 — Ma'alot Quintet

Season finale with the Ma'alot Quintet, a wind quintet with international renown.
