50th Anniversary Season in the Knights' Hall of Iburg Castle — six concerts from January 18 to June 7, 2026
The Schlosskonzerte Bad Iburg were founded in 1976 and are celebrating their 50th anniversary in the 2025/26 season. The concert series is one of Lower Saxony's most renowned chamber music series and has brought together international soloists and ensembles in the historic Knights' Hall of Iburg Castle for decades.
Iburg Castle is one of the most important castles in the Osnabrück region. Located on a hill above the spa town, it combines episcopal and baroque architecture. The Knights' Hall, with its excellent acoustics, offers a worthy setting for top-class chamber music.
The season includes six concerts with internationally active artists and ensembles:
Violinist Antje Weithaas is one of Germany's leading violinists. Together with pianist Boris Kusnezow, she will perform a classical duo program.
The Georg Pommer Trio will present its program with the Prix du Courage. Two concert dates allow for an in-depth experience.
The Gewandhaus Quartet Leipzig, one of Europe's most traditional string quartets, will perform with Charlotte Steppes as guest soloist.
Trio concert with violinist Alissa Margulis, cellist Michiaki Ueno, and pianist José Gallardo.
Season finale with the Ma'alot Quintet, a wind quintet with international renown.
The anniversary season sets a special accent: renowned artists, outstanding programs, and special composition choices. Those who have followed the series for many years will experience a highlight — newcomers will experience German chamber music culture at its finest.
The 2025/26 season marks the series' 50th anniversary. Renowned soloists and ensembles will grace the Knights' Hall with sophisticated programs.
