Lower Saxony's largest regional trade fair with around 200 exhibitors at the Stadthagen fairgrounds
The Schaumburg Regional Show is considered the largest regional trade fair in the state of Lower Saxony and takes place every three years on the Stadthagen fairgrounds. The 2026 edition marks the next staging of this major event with supra-regional appeal. Up to 50,000 visitors are expected over the three days of the fair – from the entire Schaumburg district, the Hanover region, the Weserbergland, and Ostwestfalen.
Exhibition halls, heated tents, and outdoor areas will be set up on the approximately 30,000 square meter fairgrounds. Around 200 exhibitors will present the broad spectrum of regional economic and association life: Craft businesses will showcase carpentry, joinery, metal construction, and building execution; farmers and agricultural machinery dealers will present equipment and specialties; car dealerships, caravan dealers, and solar providers will use the show for premieres; restaurateurs will provide guests with regional cuisine; associations, organizations, and authorities will inform about their work.
The official opening of the Regional Show will be attended by the Lower Saxony Minister of Economic Affairs and the District Administrator of the Schaumburg district – a sign of political appreciation for the region. Live music on the stages, demonstrations of old crafts, fashion shows, show acts, and a children's program will structure the trade fair days. Culinary offerings on the Schaumburg Food Mile will round off the visit.
Admission to the Regional Show is free. Due to the expected crowds, the organizers recommend traveling by train and bus. Stadthagen is easily accessible via the S-Bahn line S1 from Hanover and the Minden – Wunstorf railway line. There are shuttle connections from the train station to the fairgrounds. Limited parking is available in the immediate vicinity.
The three-day show is a snapshot of Schaumburg's economic, associative, and cultural life. Those who exhibit here are rooted in the region. Those who come here want to get informed, shop, compare, or be entertained.
On several stages, a program of live music, fashion shows, demonstrations, dance performances, and show acts runs all day long. On the Food Mile, regional restaurateurs serve specialties ranging from Schaumburg farmer's bread to international cuisine.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizing committee in the spring. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
