Carnival ships on the Rhine and Moselle with DJ, dance groups, and live band Kabelbrand
The Schängelschiff is a trademark of the AKK and utilizes Koblenz's unique location at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Instead of a classic ballroom event, the Carnival party takes place on a passenger ship that cruises the Rhine and Moselle during the event.
The Carnival ships are fully decorated and offer all the amenities of a Carnival party: dance floor, stage, several bars, seating areas, and a covered outdoor space. The program alternates between DJ sets, live performances by dance groups, and concerts by well-known Carnival bands.
The 2026 series includes four Schängelschiff evenings:
Featuring DJ Jay Pee, the established dance group KG Grün-Weiß Urmitz, the dance group Black and White Löf, and the well-known live band Kabelbrand from Lahnstein, the 2026 program offers an attractive mix of DJ sets and live acts.
The 2026 edition expands the series to four evenings, combining classic Carnival music with modern party sets. Detailed boarding and departure times will be communicated by the AKK in due course.
